Kids club/ Little chefs
Classes in this exclusive club holds every Saturday between 9.30 am and 2pm. Children between the ages of 8 and 15 are given culinary training, etiquette classes, fine art classes and a local language course.
The classes are highly interactive and fun filled and are aimed at equipping the children with important skills that will be useful to them throughout their lives.
The importance of eating fresh food will be instilled in them from an early age and children will be knowledgeable in identifying the different classes food belong to. These group of students will no doubt be the next generation of chefs to look up to.
Designed for teenagers on long holidays after major exams. These classes hold during mid -term breaks and school holidays. Young adults from between the ages of 13 and 19 are welcome.
The courses are a little intense as our aim is to impart serious confidence in the kitchen. Knife techniques will be taught as well as cooking for dinner parties. During their time with us, the students will take a field trip to leading restaurants / hotels and production plants.
This course is tailored for anyone over the age of 18. The elementary stage of culinary school begins with students being introduced to key ingredients used in food preparation. Use and application of basic kitchen equipment, measurements and knife skills will be learnt.
Basic kitchen hygiene and health and safety will be enforced at all times. The course instils a great sense of confidence in the students . A certificate of completion will be awarded on completion.
This level which is more intricate is for students who have completed the beginners course or who have substantial work experience in the industry.
Courses covers more in depth range of techniques and recipes. Knife skills being such an integral part of cooking will be broadened. Students will learn how to plan menus as well as costing , portfolio presentation, recipe writing and show cooking.
Short cookery courses
These range from 3 days to 2 weeks. Classes are offered at different times during the year and will cover basic but thorough hands on training with an equal amount of theory. Student will attend practical classes to learn bread making, Asian cooking, salad making, cake decorations, making pasta, sauces and a host of other dishes.
We have created this class for busy workers who have time in the evenings. Students will be guided through simple dishes to creating more exotic dishes. Our evening classes will also include wine tasting.
An interesting class where students creativity has to come to the fore front. Application of butter icing, making and utilising fondant, air brushing with stencils and other materials, moulding figures fruits and flower making. There will also be opportunities to learn how to step up wedding cakes.
